How does it come to be that kids become so sly, so young? Earlier I asked Olivia if the wanted a snack. "Sure!" (With a huge smile.) I told her we had fruit. Did she want cherries? Watermelon? Cantaloupe?
"Do you have Oreos?" So sweetly and innocently she asked.
"No, Olivia -- I said fruit. That's not a fruit." She giggled her way over to the pantry and settled on a banana.
As if she wasn't already so cute, when I asked if I could have a bite she happily said, "Sure, I share with you!"
